Artist's Description
For me, this painting evokes tranquility, with the surface of the water unruffled by wind. It's a place that's "cool and green and shady", as John Denver put it.
About Lynn Quinn
I have enjoyed drawing since childhood, and have been painting in watercolour since 2002. I really enjoy the transparency of watercolour, and like to experiment with combining watercolour with other media. In the past few years, I have also been working in pastel, and mixed media. In whatever I do, my desire is point others to the beauty and wonder that our Creator has given us to enjoy, that they may come to see His beauty and stand in awe of Him!

Chito, I'm glad the 'fear & trembling' doesn't show, but it was there! Thanks for your kind comment!

They say it's not easy to do greens, yet you did this flawlessly, This is so fresh and inviting. I don't see any trepidation in your water redering.

Love the clarity and spring-like freshness of this lovely piece. Very reflective and tranquil. Thank you so much for all your marvellous comments. Have a wonderful painting day. I am off to complete a small restaurant facade, the marquee is very detailed so wish me success. All the best to you.

Thanks so much, June! This was a fun one to do (with a WC lesson from Kev on spattering). It's a lot of green, but I think I used about every possible shade of green!
